Bogey has been a blast since the first day he arrived at our home. You'd think he would be worn out after traveling half way across the country...but he walked in like he owned the place. Bogey has the drive and intensity that make Brittanys incredible bird dogs, but he's also a calm, sweet house pet. Watching his speed and determination in the field you'd never guess he's content to lay around the house on his days off! He really is a super sweet companion that makes friends wherever he goes.
Bogey finished his show championship with 5 majors before the age of 2. He also placed in his (and Noah's) first field trial in the Spring of 2010. After several years of successfully hunting wild birds we sent Bogey to summer camp in 2014. Bogey began running in adult stakes with trainer/handler Ed Tillson of Tequila Kennels that fall. He received his first adult placement in 2015, placing 4th out of 20 at the Southern Kansas Brittany Club field trial. Bogey then went on to pick up additional placements in large, competitive stakes in the spring of 2016. He finished his dual championship in grand style in April of 2016, with his third huge win in open gun dog stakes! Bogey is mostly retired from dog shows, but he made an appearance at the 2016 American Brittany Club Nationals where he won the Dual Champion Sweepstakes! Bogey's first puppies were born in October of 2016 and we've heard nothing but great things about their temperaments and hunting ability. Stud inquiries are welcome.
Exciting to handle in both the field and show ring, Bogey is a powerful dog with a smooth, ground covering stride.
